What We’ll Learn

In the first hour of this 90-minute class, Dana will walk us through how she transformed some of her favorite yoke sweaters into pint sized versions for Jellybean. She’ll give the formula to do the same for your own pup with any yoke sweater pattern. After class, there will be Q & A time with Dana. Pooches welcome—turn on your camera to show off your pup!

What to bring

Bring a yoke sweater that you have already finished knitting as well as any left over yarn for the doggy sized version. Alternatively, bring the pattern for the yoked sweater you’re planning to knit for you and your dog. There will be no homework—the sweater is your swatch.

Our Workshop Leader

Dana Williams-Johnson knits every day. Her claim to knitting fame is knitting 27 sweaters in a single year. When not squeezing skeins of yarn or knitting, Dana is working as a professor of Marketing at Howard University in Washington, DC, or spoiling her rescue dogs, Jellybean and Kiwi. (She spends time with her husband, too.)

Knitting is what brings Dana joy, and she shows that through her use of color (hello, rainbows) and modifications of favorite patterns into replica sweaters for her dogs.
