Tov DK

By Woolfolk Yarn

We love this yarn. The fiber is the tenderest merino, so fine and soft that it has been mistaken for cashmere, spun to a DK weight that has some heft. And like all Woolfolk yarns, the palette is a dream: 17 sophisticated, luminous shades.

Olga Buraya-Kefelian’s ingenious Paragon Popover calls for 7 skeins of the color you love best!

Please note: The Paragon Popover appears in Field Guide No. 24: Spark. Be sure to add a copy to your cart here.

Kristin Ford, the founder of Woolfolk, has made it her business to create exquisite yarns that come from sheep who are raised with care and attention both to the sheep and the land on which they live.

Tov is Ultimate Merino®, a fiber grown from merino sheep at the southernmost tip of South America. Ultimate Merino® doesn’t happen by chance, but by the innovative efforts of farmers to produce the very best wool fiber while being land stewards of the Patagonian grasslands.

The wool for Tov comes from an Argentinian cooperative of farmers, Ovis 21, that focuses on land preservation, restoring the grasslands through the use of sheep. The farmers have learned to raise their sheep in harmony with the land—moving the herd from pasture to pasture to avoid overgrazing.

Joji Locatelli’s Cuatro Wrap calls for two skeins each of four colors. Knit in four separate triangles, in easy textured stripes, it’s the ultimate portable knit and a stunning wear-it-everywhere accessory. You’ll find all the details in the MDK Pattern Library here.
