As a member of the MDK Society in 2026, you will receive our undying gratitude and these valuable benefits.

• MDK Society 2026 enamel pin. Of course. We have to have a pin. This year’s design by our own Hannah Jones celebrates our warm, busy, chatty community. The pin ships out automatically when you sign up, with free worldwide shipping.

• Twenty bucks in the MDK Shop. New this year! When you sign up for 2026, your order confirmation email will include a PDF with a coupon code of $20 to use as you like in the MDK Shop. Treat yourself to a free copy of any one of the 29 MDK Field Guides we’ve published—or put it towards anything else in the Shop that catches your eye.

• Savings of 10% on every virtual event in 2025.  As in 2025, we are planning more than two dozen virtual classes, workshops, and talks in 2026. A bounteous cornucopia, from a rich array of teachers and experts and designers (see their names below), at a variety of price points. You’ll have first access, and always at a discounted price. Every virtual event will be recorded, so you can watch it whenever your schedule allows.

• 10% savings in the MDK Shop. A coupon code for 10% off all full-price merchandise, all year long.

• The Snippets Show.  Every month, Ann and Kay host a monthly Zoom, exclusively for MDK Society members—and there’s always a special guest. How special are these guests? Take a look at our shows so far in 2025, featuring: Arne and Carlos, Franklin Habit, Natalie Chanin, Jeanette Sloan, Clara Parkes, Dana Williams-Johnson, Amanda Hesser, Jillian Moreno, Kate Atherley, and Trisha Malcolm. The Snippets Show is always recorded so members can watch and re-watch whenever they like. It’s a monthly opportunity to put the kettle on, grab your knitting, and listen to lively conversation.

• Monthly Virtual Hangouts. We like to party, and by party we mean: talk incessantly about knitting. Each Snippets Show concludes with a happy half hour where we switch off the recording and split up into small breakout rooms for friendly conversation with each other. This was an experiment in 2025, and boy did it succeed! Connections made, laughs laughed, tips exchanged.

• 365 doses of Vitamin MDK—thanks to you! MDK’s daily posts are the heart of what we provide to you, and it’s important to keep them accessible to a knitting community that relies on them. From the best writers in the fiber world—all of whom are paid—come techniques, inspiration, patterns, recipes, travel, self-help, and (of course) Knit to This. By joining the MDK Society, you support this mission directly with your dollars. We are literally still publishing every day because of the MDK Society—and we’re so grateful.

• First notice of classes, special offers, sales. When we have a hot ticket, we offer it first to MDK Society members. In 2025, several very special events sold out to MDK Society members, and never were on sale to a wider audience, for example, a one-day Magic Ball/Persian Poppies workshop with Brandon Mably. All 25 spots for this very special day with Kaffe and Brandon were snapped up by MDK Society members, and we couldn’t be more thrilled about that.

•Early entry to Nash Yarn Fest on April 17 and 18, 2026.  Get in the door early, and once you’re there, enjoy a special MDK Society gathering spot. Will we take a group picture? Will we fall over ourselves thanking you for being members of the MDK Society? Yes and yes!

Terms and Conditions

Not refundable or pro-ratable. Membership in the MDK Society is not refundable or pro-ratable—thank you for understanding. Everyone who joins the MDK Society will continue to receive benefits through the end of calendar year 2026, or for 12 months from the date of enrollment, whichever comes later.

Auto-renewal. Starting in 2026, membership in the MDK Society for 2026 will auto-renew at the end of the calendar year, or 12 months from the date of enrollment, whichever comes later.

We understand that auto-renewal is not for everyone, so you can opt out of auto-renewal if you wish.

When you’ve signed up for the MDK Society, there are two ways to opt out of auto-renewal for 2027.

The first way to opt out. A month before the end of your membership, you’ll receive an email notifying you of the upcoming auto-renewal amount. If you don’t wish to renew, simply opt out in response to that email. Your membership will not automatically renew and you will not be charged.

The second way to opt out. If you don’t want to wait, you can opt out of auto-renewal at any time by cancelling your membership. This will not take away your membership benefits, which will continue to the end of calendar year 2026, or for 12 months from the date of enrollment, whichever comes later. To cancel your membership, log into your MDK account. In the options on the left, click “My Subscription,” which will open a page with your membership and renewal details. Then click on the orange tab labeled “Cancel.” That’s it! Your membership will not auto-renew and you will not be charged.
