Meanwhile . . .

We had a big time on MDK this week.

New yarn alert! Spincycle’s newest yarn, Trine (rhymes with divine) is a triumph. MDK’s trusty pattern scout found seven great ways to give Trine a try.

In the latest installment of Ask Patty, Patty Lyons tackles two perennial (and related) challenges: when the family doesn’t get your love of knitting, and how to find knitting family.

It’s knitting-adjacent, and it’s amazing. Jeni Hankins took us with her to a fascinating new textile exhibition at London’s Tate Modern.

The first typeface inspired by and made for knitters is here, and it’s got Kay’s needles clacking like an old Smith-Corona.

Our Atlas Insider DG Strong has been out and about, and he says we’re lucky he came back.

Remember to enter this week’s giveaway by midnight Central time Sunday night. One lucky winner will be able to pack it all up—in our Baggu Skill Set Tote.

Stay healthy, take care of each other, and knit on.

Love,

Ann and Kay

April Gems

From now through Wednesday, April 19, when you order any quantity of Nua Sport, we’ll include a free PDF download of Field Guide No. 14: Refresh, a collection of four patterns using Nua Sport. It’s a $9.95 value.

Rhymes with “Mine all mine.”

New yarn alert! Just in: Brilliant marled color—Spincycle’s latest confection: Trine. See seven ways to knit up this marlicious yarn here.

And … Trine pairs with Dream State for colorwork that wows.

Box of (lots of) Joy

The Skill Set Box of Joy is finally back in stock—and in a beautiful new colorway.

We’ve been amazed at its popularity. It’s the best way we know to share the joy of knitting with someone special. If you’ve been waiting for its return, get it while we’ve got it.

Take Your Temp

If this is your year to knit a temperature blanket, you’re in good company. Kay had so much fun last year that she’s doing it again

Our popular Temperature Blanket Starter Packs make the hard part—picking colors—easy. Each pack has 11 or 22 skeins of Rowan Felted Tweed. Plus: you’ll save 10 percent off the single-skein price.

We’ll be cheering you on in the MDK Lounge, where your fellow temperature blanketeers are full of ideas, opinions, and advice.
