Announcing: Retreat at Home: Virtual Workshop with Max Daniels

Dear knitters in search of a midwinter (or midsummer) pick-me-up,
It’s unbelievable: our wise, witty friend Max Daniels is in her tenth year (10th! year!) of writing the column that’s been helping us take care of ourselves through thick and thin, sparking deep conversations, heartfelt confessions, and giggle fits along the way.
On March 20, Max is bringing us a wonderful virtual workshop.
It’s called Retreat at Home.
Ever since Max floated the idea for this workshop, we’ve been all in. We’re captivated by the idea of creating our own private retreat, at home.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to go on a retreat? To set aside time to escape your routine and focus on your health, dreams, or projects? Finding the right retreat at the right time and getting away to practice yoga or paint landscapes can seem daunting. But guess what? You can create your own thoughtful retreat—no flights to book, no packing, no pet-sitting to arrange—just a custom-tailored time at home to rest, restore, rebuild—or, you know, knit! We could always knit.
In this 90-minute talk, life coach and beloved MDK columnist Max Daniels will guide us in designing and planning our own at-home retreats. One thing we know from our years of reading Max—she has a special talent for sweeping away the cobwebs of self-help speak and finding lighter, simpler ways to get what we need. You will leave this class with a helpful handout and tips, well on your way to creating your custom retreat within your own home.
Whether you crave a retreat to recover from a life changing event, try out a new hobby or daily practice, brainstorm how to turn a dream into reality, or create a special space and time to wind down with your knitting, Max will show you what you need to begin the journey and make it happen. Structure and freedom and self-kindness, from the comfort of home.
