Dear friends,

This is the kind of news that we’ve had a hard time keeping to ourselves.

With all the joy in the world, we’re here to share the list of speakers who will be coming to Nash Yarn Fest.

We’re setting up a special lecture stage on Saturday, April 18, at NYF so you can cool your heels (while knitting or crocheting of course) and hear from people that we admire tremendously.

It is thanks to Knit Stars, our Lecture Stage sponsor, that we’re able to offer this program.

All hail Knit Stars! Their support is incredibly generous, and we hope you’ll check out their rich array of knitting and crochet masterclasses. (Affiliate link.)

Who’s on the Stage?

Check it out! We love these people! So will you! Sharing their tales, talents, and tunes are:

Natalie Chanin. Our hero from Florence (Alabama, the cool Florence) will share her tales of her life and work as the legendary founder of Alabama Chanin.

Franklin Habit. Our correspondent from Paris will be coming to Nashville. Live! In person! Dreams can come true, y’all.

Jeni Hankins. The delightful singer-songwriter-storyteller-writer will be sharing stories and music—a highlight!

We will have more surprises coming soon!

All these talks are all included in the ticket price for Nash Yarn Fest—no additional ticket required.

Make Your Plans Now

We are firm believers in planning fun so we can anticipate it for as long as possible. Nash Yarn Fest is something to look forward to, for sure.

With 100 artisanal vendors filling the Fairgrounds, the Friday night Hootenanny, and this slate of talks, Nash Yarn Fest is shaping up to be our biggest fun ever.

Tickets are on sale now, right here.

If you’ve been meaning to book your room at the Gilmore (our hotel for knitters for NYF), only a few rooms remain.

You’ll want to get on it right here—you’ll be booking via a special contact, not the regular Gilmore Hotel website.

And the Nash Yarn Fest Getaway 2026 has a couple of solo traveler spaces still available—it’s a deluxe, full experience where Patti Odinak has created a really memorable trip.

More news coming soon. We’re not done yet! Please stay tuned.

Love,

Ann and Kay

  • I’m very sad that NYF is the same weekend as the Dixon Gallery and Gardens annual Plant Sale in Memphis. Maybe next year…but speaking of the Dixon: we’ve planted over 600,000 tulips to celebrate our 50th anniversary! Come visit this spring for a sight to behold!

  • Actually there is little joy in the world right now but Franklin could definitely bring some!

  • This whole Fest will bring so much joy, can’t wait. Love this speaker line up; epic!

  • I’m so excited for this year’s yarn fest!! I’m coming with two of my besties!!! (they’re not knitters, but I’m sure they’ll still have a blast!)

  • Jeni’s Crowberry sweater looks so different because of the colors she chose! Very, very, cool, Jeni!!! I love out-of-the-box combinations because I have such a small box. Feels good to expand!!!!
And of course, looking forward to meeting up with a bunch of knitters to restore my soul.

    • Jan, thank you so much!! I have this habit of buying yarn that has no project to go with it and then eventually I marry it to a project that comes along! That’s what happened here. The color scheme I chose came from a Joan Mitchell lithograph I saw at Tate Modern in London. When I saw it, I thought, that’s the Crowberry sweater! I really appreciate your compliment! Hugs!

  • Alas, no NYF or other knitting travel for this year, our roof has made other plans for our travel funds. I’d much rather swap howdys with all of you (and dear, charming Franklin), but there’s a lot to be said for a snug roof.

  • OMG! I will get to meet Franklin!! I am over the moon! My first yarn festival AND I get to meet some of my yarn hero’s!

  • Good thing I looked at this again. I totally missed Franklin in my morning reading. (How can one miss Franklin)
Also looking forward to Natalie – she has such an inspiring story. And Jeni, also jumping the pond to come home. She’s from up the road from me so we can code talk Appalachian.
