Sue McCain is one of the knitting world’s wizards. A knitting technical editor since 2004, she has edited hundreds of patterns and dozens of books, including Norah Gaughan’s Knitted Cable Sourcebook, Amy Herzog’s Knit to Flatter and You Can Knit Thatand Wendy Bernard’s Custom Knits series and Up, Down, All-Around Stitch Dictionary and Knitting All Around Stitch Dictionary. Sue currently edits patterns for Brooklyn Tweed; Abrams; Creative Knitting; Tahki Stacy Charles; and numerous independent knitting designers. Her favorite part of the editing process is creating charts. She has two successful pattern lines: Vermont Fiber Designs and Basix Knitting. Both lines are sold online and through local yarn shops. Sue’s greatest joy is horseback riding, which she indulges in as often as she can.
