Jill Draper loves yarn and color. Those two loves met, and Jill Draper Makes Stuff was born. All JDMS fibers are locally sourced and domestically spun, with the twist and ply designed by Jill. Each skein is kettle dyed or hand painted by Jill in New York State. Jill’s hand knitting patterns have been published in various books and magazines, among them Interweave Knits, Knitting Today, Knit 1, and Find Your Style, and Knit It Too, by Sharon Turner. Jill has a BFA in Fashion Design from Pratt Institute and worked as a freelance designer in various mediums, and as a bookkeeper and bike delivery gal in New York City, before moving to upstate New York and starting JDMS.
