Dear Knitter,

Happy Saturday!

Today’s the day!

Our colorful knitting heroes Kaffe Fassett and Brandon Mably have arrived in Nashville, a dream come true for their biggest fans (that would be us).

If you’re in the neighborhood, please join us at MDK World Headquarters today to party with Kaffe and Brandon. Snacks and snapshots; chatting and knitting; an inspirational talk from the master colorist—it will be a full and memorable event. Doors open at 10:00 am. Please arrive at the latest by 10:45 am to grab your seat. We will begin at 11:00 am. Get your ticket here.

If you’re not nearby, there’s also the option to tune in to a professionally produced livestream of Kaffe’s talk, An Eye for Color.

Kaffe’s approach to color, to a daily, lifelong practice of handwork, and to joyful living has resonated with us deeply for decades, and he is a wonderful, generous speaker. We are honored to have this opportunity to share his words as widely as we can.

Tickets for the livestream are here.

New Class Alert!

Just in time for documenting festive holiday doings and knittings, professional photographer Gale Zucker is bringing us a virtual version of her wonderful course, Photographing Your Knits.

Gale has been teaching live sessions of this 2-hour workshop to makers for many years, to rave reviews. People tell us they have new eyes, and new excitement for taking photos, after spending time with Gale. And we’ve experienced it ourselves. You’ll see immediate improvement from Gale’s actionable, intuitive teachings.

Join us on November 7! Read all about it, and sign up here.

You might be surprised at the answers to 19 Questions with Ann and Kay. Apparently, we’d been holding back?

Adrienne Martini talked about what Kaffe Fassett means to her. (Hint: it’s not about color.)

Your Support Is Everything—Thank You!

Seriously grateful that you hang out with us at MDK. In person, at virtual talks and workshops, and in our comments section—we love to connect knitters, and connect with knitters.

One way to support all that goes on here: the MDK Society. Your MDK Society membership will repay you in fun, connection, and community. (And 10% savings on classes and full-price stuff, plus special opportunities.)

Questions? Email us anytime at he***@*****************ng.com, and you’ll get a prompt response from a real live MDK person.

Stay healthy, take care of each other, and knit on.

Love,

Ann and Kay
