You’ve Got Snippets: November 15, 2025

Dear knitter,
Happy Saturday!
As you’ve probably noticed, we’re in the middle of a big membership drive! Thank you for letting us tell you about the MDK Society.
In 2024 and 2025, as cherished knitting magazines closed all around us, MDK kept going, delivering a free daily dose of knitting how-to, news, and joy from an amazing roster of contributors. These days, the knitting community and its teachers and writers depend on MDK more than ever.
Who does MDK depend on? You. The simple truth is that we couldn’t have kept MDK’s free daily content—or Snippets—going in 2025 without the financial support of the MDK Society. Those excellent writers have to get paid, and so does the lean, not-mean team that makes it all happen behind the scenes. We are looking forward to another great year of fun for knitters, so we’re asking you to join the MDK Society for 2026.
To those who have already joined the MDK Society for 2026, you have our gratitude beyond words. To those who are interested in finding out more about the fun benefits of membership, you can read all about it and sign up here. (There’s a pin, y’all!)
Maybe We’re Not Mathy…
Which is why we’re so excited about Kate Atherley’s virtual class, Math for Knitters. Kate’s just published an excellent book on the subject, and she’s here to show us how to become a more confident interpreter—and modifier—of knitting patterns. Coming Dec. 5—check it out.
Meanwhile…
We had a big time on MDK this week.
