With Lorilee’s patient guidance, we’ll stretch our minds—and our muscle memory—to learn a style of knitting that many knitters find faster, and may also be a more efficient way of working stitch patterns that switch frequently from knit to purl. This is an in-depth, 3-hour workshop, so you’ll get plenty of tips, tricks—and practice! The Beltman effect will be in full force!

We had a big time on MDK this week.

Lights, camera, Franklin! Our man in Paris tidies up the studio for his Knit Stars moment, with delightful detours and distractions.

A warm MDK welcome to new contributor Lindsay Degen, a dual citizen of the worlds of fashion and hand knitting. It’s fascinating to see the way these two loves intertwine.

Samantha Brunson shared the effervescent bubble of imagination known as the Fashion Institute of Technology’s Graduating Student Exhibition, where the knitwear is a blast of joy.
