Yesterday marked something new for us: MDK by night! Designer and teacher Ambah O’Brien beamed in from Australia for a virtual evening class on intarsia, using her fun pop-art design, the Bliss-Bloss Shawl.

Our Incredible Good Fortune: Kaffe Fassett is Coming to MDK!

We’re thrilled to host the legendary designer Kaffe Fassett for an in-person lecture and celebration at MDK World Headquarters. Kaffe’s topic: An Eye for Color. He’s one of the all-time great raconteurs, bursting with inspiration to roll up our sleeves and make beautiful things. 

On Saturday, October 4, 11 am-2 pm, Kaffe and Brandon will be in attendance for this party, which includes an inspiring talk, snacks and beverages, meeting and greeting, gazing upon beautiful samples of Kaffe’s designs, shopping, and, of course, time together with fellow knitters.

For those who can’t be with us in Nashville, be with us online! We’re producing a professional livestream of Kaffe’s lecture. We’ll email you the link to the livestream one week before the lecture.

Wednesday, August 20: For MDK Society members. The Snippets Show with special guest Jillian Moreno, who knows an astonishing amount about yarn, fiber, spinning. Bring your yarn substitution questions, and be ready to laugh and learn.

Friday, September 26: Reversible Cables: Virtual Workshop with Cecelia Campochiaro. The optional kit of Ito yarns is sumptuous—and flying off the shelves.
