19 Questions with Ann and Kay

So Shelley Brander comes to town to film our Knit Stars class and we end up wandering around MDK World Headquarters answering 19 questions she lobs toward us.
See! Shelley filming us while simultaneously walking backward up a flight of 20 stairs!
Watch! Us dig deep for profound answers.
Be amazed! At how many steps a person can get inside our building.
While you’re at it, please note that today is the day that enrollment opens up for the new season of Knit Stars, in which we are featured with our class on log cabin knitting.
Our affiliate link to enroll is right here.
Ordering your class via this link gives MDK a portion of your registration fee, and it’s the sort of support that we appreciate so much.
The thing is, Season 10 of Knit Stars is absolutely stacked with teachers we admire and feel you will love too:
Alicia Plummer • Cecilia Losada • Clara Parkes • Filipa Carneiro • Franklin Habit • Jen Geigley • Julie Ann Lebouthillier • Norah Gaughan • Pope Vergara • Laura Zander • London Kaye • Samantha Brunson • Dominique Calvillo • Natalie Thomas
This bounteous cornucopia means that when you sign up for Knit Stars Season 10, you’ll have lifelong ownership of 15 masterclasses, each one extremely fun to watch.
We’re feeling like our log cabin class is our most comprehensive, inspiration-filled effort at teaching this thing we love to do. Brad, the videographer, did a fine job of making it all look great. Sarah, the editor, was heroic when pulling it all together. And Shelley, despite fighting off a truly awful bout of the epizootic, was the ultimate cheerleader.
Still don’t know how Shelley made up those stairs while we were prattling on about whatever. Nerves of steel she’s got.
Love,
Ann
Gosh! That was a great interview! Move over Barbara Walters, Paris Review and Playboy Magazine! Watching that was a lot of fun to have before 6am!! The questions were great. I’m thinking about my own answers! As always, I keep a pen handy when I’m reading or listening to MDK – I ‘ve jotted down a couple of things to explore, listen to or watch. ( MDK is definitely a full-service experience!) I found myself shouting out a couple of answers ( and got them right…if that doesn’t make you feel part of the community!!) and laughing out loud….at the stress relief question…because I do both!! … laydown comes last!!
I’ve signed up for Knit Stars ( this is my first series) and I can’t wait! Thanks for starting my day off in the best way!!
Love it!!! And I’m in on the retirement community.
My favorite was Earnest/Loose.
Great job on the interview! If I was watching someone walk backwards I probably wouldn’t be able to answer anything at all!
Love this video!
I don’t see this Q & A… am I missing something, or is the interview not posted yet?
Silly me! It’s staring right at me! My bad!
I did the same thing! I will use the excuse it was 5:45am!
I signed up using your link in the first round of signups. It’s my first Knit Stars season, the first time I was interested in all the classes, and I’m excited! I also purchased the Wellness Bundle of classes, which includes you guys.
Loved this! Thank you ❤️
I loved this interview! Please sign me up for the “seasonal tiny house for knitters” waitlist- there must be a waitlist, right?
A very enjoyable video…well done!
Retirement community of knitters, tiny houses too? I’m all in! Fun episode, I’m looking forward to this Knit Stars.
Oh yeah!!
Those pieces of advice–keep moving and apologize/admit your errors– are what I live by. I also want in on the tiny house thing. And I cannot live without the silvalume handi tool.
So glad I already signed up! Laughter is so important. You two should take your act on the road!
That was such a GREAT interview!! In substance (two stellar souls) and scope (seeing MDK headquarters), it totally made my day. Thank you for doing this.
Fun! I’m on the waiting list for the retirement community, right?
I think your spot is reserved Mary Lou. We’ve got you penciled in on a couple of committees.
Save me a spot in your retirement community!
Well that was fabulous! Thanks!
