Introducing Atlas, Our First Yarn

It has long been a dream of ours to create a yarn for knitters, by knitters. After a lot of experimenting and thinking and gazing at a giant book of color chips, here it is.

This is Atlas. What is this magical yarn, you ask?
Soft. The fiber here is 100% Rambouillet, a cousin to Merino with a bit more bounce.
Lofty. It’s a light worsted weight, worsted spun, with three plies. This construction knits up as the sort of fabric that we really love.
Colorful. We arrived at a palette of 22 colors. You’ll see brights and quiets, each color the result of a whole lot of thought. This range allows for all sorts of knitting: textures, cables, colorwork.
Click through the gallery up top to see each color in all its glory.
Versatile. Atlas can be knitted at a number of gauges, on needle sizes from US size 6 to 8 (4–6 mm).
Made in the United States. It has been a challenge to produce this yarn during a pandemic, and we appreciate the hard work of the folks who worked to create Atlas—from the family in northern California who raise the Rambouillet sheep, to the spinning mill team in South Carolina and the dyers in North Carolina.
Climate Beneficial Wool. Atlas is made with wool that comes from sheep who are grazing on landscapes where carbon-capturing processes are being enhanced. It is fascinating to learn how this works. Here’s a short video that explains how climate beneficial wool is part of this expanding philosophy of thoughtful farming. The wool of Atlas comes from a ranch that is working to repair the carbon imbalance in our climate.
Most of all, we hope you enjoy knitting with Atlas. This is a yarn you will reach for with confidence, knowing that it will elevate any project you make with it.
Our First Pattern for Atlas
Field Guide No. 20 is shipping soon to subscribers (any minute now, as soon as we get this website thingie over here attached to the other website thingie over yonder), with launch coming on March 4. All the patterns in this new Field Guide, designed by Erika Knight, call for Atlas. We can’t wait for you to see them.
In addition, we felt a strong impulse to celebrate the launch of Atlas with a pattern that uses the entire palette. It’s a crayon box of color, after all!

Please say hello to the Blanket of Joy Kit. It includes all 22 colors of Atlas, the PDF downloadable pattern, and a custom Baggu tote to mark the launch of this special yarn. The price is a savings of $52 off the single-skein price.
We are big believers that there is a knitting project for every mood. We always—always—have a simple project on the needles, for those times when we want to knit without a care.

The Blanket of Joy is exactly that kind of knitting. Kay cooked up the basic recipe for this striped throw at a time when none of the projects on her needles qualified as “Zoom meeting knitting.”

The Blanket of Joy is relaxation knitting at its finest. Panels of stockinette and reverse stockinette switch back and forth in an intuitive, undulating rhythm that soothes the soul.
Easy can also be exciting! Striping your way through all 22 shades of MDK’s very own yarn, Atlas, is an ever-changing delight. You can’t wait to get to the next color. With each stripe, the visual composition changes, and comes into focus.
The Blanket of Joy is a wonderful way to get to know a brand-new yarn that we hope will become a friend for life.
A Giveaway!
We’re celebrating the arrival of Atlas with a very special giveaway.

Please leave a comment telling us your favorite color of Atlas. (See all the color names here.) We’ll pick a random commenter who will receive their very own Blanket of Joy Kit. Enter through Monday, February 21, 11:59 Central time. Winner will be notified by email.
[Editor’s note: Congratulations Toni M! Your Blanket of Joy Kit will be shipped out soon!]
If you’re making me pick – seaglass
BARN RED!!
Skyline has that neutral-but-actually-a-color vibe that I find most versatile.
Totally feel the same -but leek reminds me of my other passion – the garden!
Barn red
Seaglass for me!
I love the saturated colours too.
Merlot is the one that grabbed my attention – they are all gorgeous.
I love, love,love the merlot!
Seaglass!
Pear!
How exciting and such lovely colors! Since I can only choose one it has to be Seaglass.
I love them all but Peat is my fav!
Pear is jumping right out at me. Not a colour I normally wear, but I want to spend time with it knitting!
Mallard if I have to choose
Lapis to knit the cable pullover of my dreams
Peat….no….barn red……no no…peat because it reminds me of scotch
Hahaha! My kind of knitter.
I can’t decide between navy and seaglass. Too hard!!!
Merlot! Maybe that’s just because it’s Friday?? So many excellent colors.
Clementine
Barn red – not your everyday red!
You have to be strong like Atlas to pick just one. Barn Red is beautifully deep.
I’m torn between Peat and Cedar, with Merlot close behind…what a great palette!
Lapis sings to me!
Are you the Denver Jan Winkler?
Merlot is dreamy, too!
Oh Lapis definitely! Such a wonderful blue!
Skyline
They are all so beautiful but I just can’t say no to a beautiful blue, so Lapis it is!
So much yarn, so little time…
Seaglass. No, Lapis. No, wait, Celery. Oh, but Cedar! Pear or Mallard? Shale?
Merlot! It looks like it has nice depth and shading.
I’m always drawn to blues and greens so it hard to pick just one. But Lapis sure has come out a winner this time.
Lapis for me! So rich!
Mallard is my favorite but they are all beautiful. You must be so happy to bring such a beautiful product to the knitting world.
I love seaglass too, divine inspiration!
Lapis!
Wintergreen stunning- no hesitation choosing colour.
Mallard is my favorite color. Such a rich, deep tone.
Omgg all of them are lovely! But I specially liked the whisper and peat❤️❤️ lovely colors
Definitely Peat. It’s the color of my son and husband’s birthstones. It goes with so much, such a versatile color!
Clementine, looks like a burst of spring color.
Barn red it is
Merlot — what a fabulous color that is! But, Seagrass is a close second.
Not an easy choice, but Seaglass is beautiful!
Citron
So hard to choose, seaglass!
Seaglass… so calming!
Mallard for sure!!
Hey! I’m already knitting a Color Explosion Throw and two Temperature Blankets. Still, there can’t be enough knitted blankets….. favorite color is PEAR
Pear … My eyes went straight to it. Great job naming each fabulous color!!
As a color – lapis. As a yarn – shale. Shale would be my neutral of choice and have to be included in any project with more than one color.
Wow, like picking your favorite child. Pebble
Clementine!
Clementine, but it was a battle.
They are all beautiful, but I’ll go with Navy…love it’s depth.
Tutu grabs me, but it’s cruel to make us choose
Navy
Oh my! All of them! But if I have to pick one — Clementine.
Congratulations! Atlas looks beautiful – hard to choose an absolute favourite, but *shhhh, don’t tell the others, Seaglass. Add Citron, Mallard & Natural and I’m in colourwork or stripe heaven!
Love the pink Tutu!
Pear (yum!)
Seaglass
Tutu (swoon)
Love so many of the colours. Shale is a favourite!
Of all the names, peat and clementine are my favorites as they both conjur stong feelings of both color and aroma.
Congratulations …beautiful colors! For the cold weather months I think Merlot is my favorite.
It would have to be whisper because this blanket is whispering to me to put it on my needles!
Cork—an introvert’s choice. It’s warm but quiet and encourages others nearby to shine
Shale, beautiful!
Leek
Congratulations on creating such a beautiful yarn so thoughtfully and responsibly produced. Can’t wait to get my hands on it!
Tutu is a perfect ballet pink. Love the color and the name.
Congratulations! They’re all beautiful! Picking one is tough but seaglass is calling to me right now.
Merlot.
Would love to knit with the color merlot….while sipping some merlot!!
I’d love to knit something with seaglass. The color is so pretty and calming.
I love all the bright colors in the Atlas yarn!! But Sea Glass would be my favorite to start with. It looks squishy soft!
Barn red
So hard to choose! Seaglass
hard to pick, but lapis called to me from the bag!
Great job! I am partial to truffle.
Citron! Such a happy color
Seagrass is beautiful!
Truffle
With the exception of my coming grand-baby ( mid-July) there will be nothing else to beat this ! Blanket of Joy Kit indeed.
Lapis looks luxurious….my favorite
My favorite is pebble. My son and his wife are expecting their first child, my first grand baby. Too early to know if its a boy or girl so they are referring to the baby as pebble. Pebble is the best color!
Seaglass!
A Tutu wearing Mouse — a beauty!
Tough choice! But … mallard
I’m excited about the variety of colors! Peat is my favorite because my granddaughter loves a deep olive green, and when knitting a project in her favorite color I enjoy the time thinking about her, and her wearing something made by me.
It was tough, but I narrowed it down to Mallard. Congrats!!
Barn red
Navy
Love lapis! But all are beautiful
Love Mallard-a bold color.
I love the rich color of truffle. Can’t wait to try it!!
Lapis – my heart bleeds blue for you ❤️
My choice is merlot because, well, I love a good wine
Without a doubt my favorite color is mouse! What a wonderful play of brown and pink and mocha.I just want to dive into this luscious color like a vat of coffee with cream. Beautiful!!!
Seaglass-along with being a knitter I am a seaglass picker as well!
OMG! This is beautiful! So many lovely colors but I believe my heart is set on Merlot. Rambouillet is probably one of if not my very favorite wool. I can’t wait to get this on my needles!
Oh, leek is such a spring-y color! I love it. And this yarn looks really versatile–a real winner.
Lapis…..it glows!
Lapis is exquisite!
I will forever love green: Wintergreen!
Malard is my favourite! I had to make myself to choose fast, impulsively. Otherwise, I would choose all of them!!!
So exciting!!! Congratulations! All the colors are beautiful but I’m thinking Spring (actually wishing for it) and have my eye on Citron and Clementine!! All the colors are so beautiful and the Barn Red is such a pretty red! All that challenging work through a Pandemic is well worth it for us all, thank you!!! Lots of fun and happy knitting ahead!!!
It looks awesome! Mallard is a beautiful color.
That navy looks beautiful
The names add to the pleasure of these outstanding colors. Make mine Mallard.
Beautiful yarn! Cedar is one of my favorites!
Love all of them, especially the red barn
Shale is gorgeous. Shale with any of the others would be delightful.
Seaglass…followed by a glass of Merlot
Today it has to be Tutu. Looks like pink mascato.
Seaglass is my favorite
Peat!
I’m choosing Whisper. Second favorite would be Lapis but I can’t tell from the pictures on my phone if it’s more blue or indigo. The color that’s missing for me is a nice purple. Blanket of joy looks awesome
I’m also wishing there were a true purple in the mix. But Lapis and Whisper are very nice!
Sea Glass…:)
Either lapis or mallard. Both are beautiful!
you have asked a most difficult question but I feel Seaglass Calling to me. Cannot wait to get my field guide and start making something using your yarn. It has to be amazing for MDK to put your name on it. I love your sit and my daily email – and Sat Snippits – just wonderful – Kay and Ann are amazing. How do you knit so many things. Hugs to all of you at MDK – thanks for making my mornings brighter!!!
Merlot…I can’t wear bright reds anymore but Merlot has such depth I think it would satisfy my need for rich colors.
Lapis
Skyline. That’s the pick.
I’m going through some kind of neon phase… I love that Citron yellow!
skyline!!!!
congratulations on atlas…
The pallette is lovely but I choose mallard
I’ll go with “Clementine”!
Tutu is my favorite. Pink anything is a perfect color.
Merlot – and I love the bounce part of the description
Mallard!
Lapis! I always gravitate towards blues and greens and you have some good ones here! But the beautiful saturation of that blue? Swoon.
“Natural” – because what could be more perfect than natural?
the yarn looks so yummy! my favorite color is Clementine, it reminds me of my favorite time of year, Fall. where the colors start to change and the air is crisp, bright with the hope of tomorrow but knowing it will fade soon. But I know your colors won’t fade away and always remind me of my favorite time of year.
Pear! So yummy!
Wintergreen. It looks like spring!
Barn red…fav color. Gentle and happy
Citron! I came to your email after a gray, rainy, difficult day. Citron glows like a spring flower on the kind of sunny day when troubles fade away. I have to love a color that creates such joy.
Congrats on creating a new yarn, that’s an exciting a accomplishment! The colors are beautiful and I am really drawn to Leek. The blanket is a great project to introduce the line.
Lapis! Love the blues. Yarn looks wonderful. Can’t wait!
I have to say I have been hooked on pinks lately. Your Tutu pink is scrumptious.
Barn red…it’s a good red, in my humble opinion.
Barn red!
This is like picking your favorite child! . All the colours are so beautiful (although I’m inclined to lean towards Truffle ).
Tutu is an absolutely lovely shade of pink! Finally a pink that’s not too bright and not too washed out!
If I have to only pick one: mallard. But I have to say I there is not a single color I don’t like.
To chose a favourite may be too hard, I love the simplicity of Tutu, but the deep richness of Merlot really draws me in. Could a marl them and call it one colour? Making me pick, I think I’d had to go with Tutu, I have lots of burgundy in my closet already. (But oh what a great shade Merlot is!)
Merlot
omg been waiting for skyline for so long have so many ideas for this beautiful BLUE!!
I like all the chosen names but will pick sea glass!
Barn red, barn red, barn red !!!!
Lapis. Lapis. Lapis!
Mallard
Definitively PEAT… for the love of the land, the deep and delicious earth colour and the reference of this treasure in our Universe… let’s all think abut how amazing using the colours here to remind ourselves of the precious land, animals and of course humans who benefit from the joy of COLOUR and our LAND, changing as a daily goal how we ensure it will be there for our next generations.
Such a hard choice ! They are all so nice! I pick mallard, only because you said one choice!
Mallard is my favorite color! Calls to mind exactly what it’s named for.
Congratulations on your first MDK yarn! I love that it’s entirely “homegrown” from field to skein, eco-friendly and non-superwash. My favorite color is Tutu.
It has to be Lapis.
Evocative name for a gorgeous colour!
So pleased to see this yarn released, just what we all need at the moment.
I’m really drawn to the lapis.
Mallard is calling me
Well, choosing one at 5:53 am while riding my recumbent exercise bike was no easy task…not the riding but the choosing! My final and most favorite is Seaglass because it matches my living room walls. But if I could I would choose them all.❤️
Navy!! The possibilities of navy with so many of the other colors is magical.
I absolutely love the Pear color. It’s a preview to Spring that I need in my hands in thus grey and cold weather.
I love the look of this yarn and you have such an all encompassing number and variety of colours. My favourite has to be Mallard. I’ve had a tendency to the blue-green over the last year although pinks and purples still feature strongly and I could be persuaded to favour a few other colours….
This is hard! At this moment? Mallard with Tutu right behind. I’ve been excited for this since you started talking about it!
Peat. Always drawn to the greens and spring is coming!
I love Shale! It reminds me of walking on wet sand.
I love Clementine! It’s beautiful yarn.
Deep in a gray Western PA winter, I’d pick “Skyline,” to remind me of the Spring to come!
Mallard but I like them all! Congratulations on your new venture! Great work and I love the story behind it all.
Mallard looks besutiful
Pear!
Seaglass, mallard clementine….oh my! Assuming it is hand wash?
Mallard!
Congratulations! Pear is my favorite….not many dyers do this color!
It’s Citron…no, it’s Mallard…or maybe Pear…no, definitely Mallard…all the colors….I love all the colors!
Merlot
I love Mallard. Also – Rambouillet and 3 ply?? Yes please!
Merlot with some Merlot
Definitely tutu!
Today, I would choose Pear, bright and energetic to balance out the late winter blues
I started shifting through the colors, rapidly at first to see which ones caught my attention. On each go round the leek popped out…. Odd since green is not typically one of my favorites. But spring is coming, I’m looking through seed catalogs… maybe that’s why my eye kept coming back to Leek. They are certainly all lovely!
It has to be Mouse. Quiet, subtle, stealing your chips and frosted raison bread…
Seaglass!
They are all so pretty! I think the first one I’d pick is cedar. Congratulations on a dream come true!
Barn red
Love the Pear !
Congratulations Kay and Anne on the launch of your new yarn. These are amazing colours and I’m intrigued by the sheep Rambouillet. I’m not sure I’ve ever knit with this yarn but from your description it sounds very yummy! As for a favourite, oh my, I guess I might say Leek, but Lapis is a close second. Can’t wait to knit with it!
In this endless winter, both the American and the color of Clementine make me smile!
Congratulations on this achievement!

All the colors are lovely. But this morning, because I am on my way to a beach vacation, I will say sea glass is my favorite.
Leek is lovely!
Love so many- have to pick Peat if just one!
Congratulations!
I’d love to pet it!
Mallard.
Oh my! If I must pick only one, it would be Seaglass!
Hard choice! NAVY
Whisper, I think, or maybe Cedar. Congratulations on your yarn!
Wow! What an amazing color palette! I would have to pick seaglass as my fav, but wintergreen and mallard are also at the top of my list! Comfrata on your first yarn! Looking forward to trying it!
Seaglass
Lapis looks absolutely beautiful! Can’t wait to try it!
Mallard! My favorite color. I can see the thought that went into Atlas in every aspect of this new yarn and I appreciate your work, Ann and Kay and your team. Congratulations! You hit it out of the knitting park!
How very exciting! All of your Atlas colors are beautiful but Mallard and Merlot jumped out at me right away!
Congratulations !!! What a wonderful endeavor. The colors are fabulous. It’s hard to choose just one. Peat is really calling my name though at the moment. Perhaps a sweater for my husband will be in the works soon. Good luck with it.
It’s gorgeous! Congratulations Team Atlas!! I’m going to have to go with Tutu.

What a beautiful palette. Lapis is the one calling to me.
Whisper is beautiful!
May I submit 22 entries? My first entry is seaglass. Cannot wait to take Atlas out for a spin!
So hard to pick just one! I’m loving neutrals right now, so cork is my favorite!
Clementine is my favorite color. I look forward to the field guide that uses Atlas so I can pick out my favorite project!
I drawn to Clementine, but then I saw Seaglass.
Congratulations- Shale (maybe mouse)
I don’t have a bit of Wintergreen in my wardrobe, but feeling very “green” this year, so I am imagining something wonderful, a cardigan maybe, in this color. Time to branch out. LOL
Lapis, hands down! The blue is usually a somber color, but the brightness of this just makes it pop!
Tutu – love that the yarn is climate beneficial.
Oh it’s sage but leek is a close second 🙂

Searching for some green foliage to emerge from the cover of snow in Toronto has me gravitating to Wintergreen.
Wintergreen. There was a time that I definitely would have said mallard but after the last two years, a fresh green is what my spirit needs
My favorite color in this range is Seaglass. I really enjoyed watching the video about the Fibershed, makes me happy that from beginning to end for Atlas all the cycles are dinner in the USA. Thank you!
As a bird lover, I am drawn to Mallard. I can picture lots of projects in that shade!
Congratulations! Seaglass for sure!
Wow! You’ve ticked all the boxes for beauty, comfort and ecology! We’ll done!
I love Seaglass!
Truffle is my favorite.
The color Pear is lovely and my top favorite. Honestly I like all the colors!
Navy would be it for me but all the colors seem vibrate and beautiful.
Congrats on this milestone.
Brilliant! Winter Green is a true beauty!
Merlot. Definitely Merlot.
Pear. Just looking at it makes me happy!
If I have to pick one, Mallard makes me incredibly happy!
Wintergreen! My favorite mint (for getting rid of coffee breathe)
Seaglass is the color of my life, I could wear it everyday and always feel calm and cozy.
They are all wonderful! Leek is the one to which my eye kept returning!
I love the Lapis and the Seagrass. But the Leek and the Wintergreen… Oh heck, I love them all!
Mallard is beautiful!
Sea glass. Who can resist an early morning walk on the beach and finding the perfect piece of sea glass moving with the tide.
Whisper is my favorite colour…I would experience calm when I knit with it! It would be easy to work many projects using any of these colours…thanks for these! Kathy ❤
Tutu (when did I become such a girly girl?)
Oh that Barn Red!
Can’t pick just one: wintergreen, pear and clementine
Lapis–so rich and saturated.
Love a yarn that has interesting neutrals AND good pops of color! I have my eye on cedar…
Skyline
I’m usually drawn to greens & blues, so seaglass seems like a good combination!
Seaglass is beautiful!
Lapis is my favorite!
Cedar would be my top pick. It would make a lovely sweater.
Citron!
It would have to be peat for me.
Sea glass is perfect for my next sweater. Excited to give this a knit.
Mallard!
Seaglass is my favorite
Pear, Sea Glass, and Skyline I think would make a lovely summer tank or shawl. I must say all the colors look vibrant and beautiful. I just want to reach out and touch them!
Well, I’m always a sucker for a color like pear, worked with a truffle or navy and pebble or natural. Of course shale is a close runner up. They’re all lovey!
Clementine!
Lapis
Cedar-also my daughter-in-law:)
Orange
Being partial to green, i’d have to a
Sa my favorite color is leek.
Tough choice because I LOVE all of them. But if forced to pick just one, I’d pick Peat.
Wintergreen – I can smell the freshness!!
My favorite Atlas color is Seaglass but it was really hard to choose just one color they are all beautiful!
I think Mallard is a lovely color, one that flatters many.
Thank you.
So many lovely shades, well done! Mouse for me 🙂
Merlot!
Delish colors but pear, PEAR, ummmmmm !!
The peat is the wonderful olive of my eternal search.
Barn Red, of course!
Lapis for me
Lapis is definitely my favorite! Love the variety of colors and the quiet/bold pairings…
Seaglass
Peat
Congratulations! A long time coming. My favorite color is Sea Glass. Wish you much success.
They are all pretty but I like the softness of Leek
I am partial to peat. Lovely green
I keep jumping from one to another, but settled on MALLARD!!!
oh, such a beautiful prize this would be to win!!!
Wow. This is difficult. But I feel myself pulled to my usual palette, the reds. And so Merlot it is. I have this image in my mind that it was dyed in an oak barrel of the real stuff. Feel free to send me that barrel full of wine and stray fibers, too, by the way!
Merlot is good in wine & yarn.
Leek!!
Such beautiful new yarn – exciting times ahead. Picking a favorite is difficult with such a lovely choice. I have to say cedar calls to me.
Seaglass!
Sea grass for sure
Skyline, for the color and the name. Who doesn’t love looking at the beauty of any skyline, as they are all unique!
Peat seems to speak to my soul.
Tough to choose . . . but I’ll bite. Merlot.
Beautiful neutrals and navy! Congratulations to the MDK team! Love Erika Knight designs.
Pear!
They are all lovely but I’m a neutral kinda gal and Truffle is great!
Hard to pick just one…..seaglass, shale, truffle, ….. could be a long list!
Leek
Tutu! Just saying the color name brings joy!
Really hard to pick. If I had to choose one, iy would be Tutu.
Congrats on the yarn!! So exciting.
Ooooooooo so hard to choose a favorite color!!!! I think I’m going with Mallard. Well maybe clemetine. Or it could be seaglass. You get the idea! 😉
So hard to choose a favorite color! Some of my immediate favorites are: Clementine, Pear, Navy and Wintergreen!
I’m loving Seaglass!
I’m seeing lots of combos to play with but will start with Merlot.
Winter green is a perfect shade of green
Clementine is such a joyful color, and makes me happy!
Merlot is my favorite color.
Lapis!
Yummy! PEAT takes the cake.
I love the Navy … looks like a rich midnight blue on my phone
Tutu!!
The colors are like potato chips! You just cannot have just 1! Kaffe Fasset always has some kind of orange in his knits and fabrics and I subscribe to that as well but can’t just pick 1 soooo I love clementine and cedar! And seaglass too…. Just like potatoe chips!
Skyline is exactly the color blue I have been looking for!
Cedar!
Tough choice. Either Lapis for the alchemist, searching for gold and his soul (see CGJung) or peat, for all those Shetland sheep and the crofters banging out sweaters with their knitting belts! I think I will go with Peat for my Scots ancestral knitters! Great color names!
Well, that’s a nearly impossible choice! I’m going with Clementine for it’s fabulous “Winter, I defy you!” attitude.
I think Whisper….
Congrats all colors are array of crayola.
Clementine . That was the name of the Volkswagen bug we had when I learned to drive. I love Clementine
The shale color is lovely! So exciting, thank you.
Lapis blue, always blue for autism awareness
I love them all, but Seaglass and Shale look like comfort in a skein!
Tutu!
Another vote for seaglass
I have to pick — Barn Red!
I seem drawn to the fruits!! Pear if u can only pick one and second choice clementine! Can’t wait to try it!! Congratulations on the launch!!
Pear… fresh and juicy. Congratulations on Atlas debut!
lapis
So hard to pick one – but for this minute I’ll pick Mallard. Well done!
Merlot. Who doesn’t love a nice glass of… yarn?
I like the Clemson orange.
Oh my, I like them all but leek is calling out to me. So lovely!
Tough to choose! But seaglass makes me linger.
Wintergreen! Gorgeous!!
All so descriptive and spot on … but whisper??? Tutu??? Perfection!!!
Clementine! Oh, my darlin’
Skyline, reminds me of the sky over lower Manhattan on my ferry ride to work.
As a lover of beach combing, sea glass is for me.
I’m not one for choosing favorites because I have lots of favorites depending on the circumstances! Today I’ll choose citron because I love yellow and it makes a gray February day a bit brighter.
They are all beautiful, Lapis is my favorite
I absolutely love the Lapis!!
Seriously? You want me to pick ONE?! Ok, my eyes jumped to MALLARD first of all. Gorgeous.
Wow So hard to pick just one.
Mallard
Oooh, so many beautiful colors! I’m initially drawn to Mallard, but I could pick more than one favorite!
Every dang one of those colors is awesome. At the moment, I’m feeling Mallard—it’s nice and rich. Love them all, though!
Pear! It is so sunny and bright and reminds me of crocuses. It is very much an antidote color for a NE mid-February morning of desultory snow showers. Any other time of the year, I’d be debating between Mallard and Seaglass with Leek possibly pipping the other two at the final decision.
So hard! But I guess I will go with Mallard, Lapis is a major love, also. But I am knitting something that is close to Lapis, so will go with Mallard.
Loving Mallard
Cedar – pumpkin pie looking goodness!
I’m a sucker for barn red. But the blues are beautiful too….
Mouse! It reminds me of the butterscotch pudding I ate and loved as a child.
Love that pear color!
Mallard. A little green, a little blue! Love it!
Seaglass
The dark green
They are all beautiful but if I must pick one then Wintergreen. Congratulations!!!
Absolutely swooning here! Cork is perfection.
Definitely clementine!
My favorite color is Merlot. But I also really like Peat. Beautiful yarn.
Oh, my darling… Clementine! It’s my fave!
A Pear for me, please.
They are all lovely! You did a beautiful job of choosing them. Seaglass is my favorite.
LOVE the wintergreen! such a great green without any muddy overtones
Can’t wait to try this. Clementine! Or maybe Pear. Both look so refreshing
Mallard is my favorite!
Congrats! They are all so beautiful! I’m torn between cedar, pear, mallard and peat.
Barn red is my fav…
Oh my! Kinda wish Lopi came in such amazing colors!
My favorite today is whisper. And that’s what I like to do sometimes.
Barn red is my favorite name and color. It reminds me of my early life growing up on a farm in Wyoming. So looking forward to the new field guide and being inspired to try this new delicious yarn!
Easy- Lapis!
I love them all, truly, but if forced to pick ONE, at this moment I am staring at mallard and it’s making me smile.
love the purples
Wow! This is truly tough! Seaglass gets my vote!
Mallard!
Mallard! Hands down! I feel like this could be a universal color that looks good on everyone-
Kathy
Love the seaglass!
My favorite is shale, because it is that perfect shade of grade that will go with and enhance all other colors. Congratulations on your new endeavor!
Seaglass
Congratulations!!! How can we pick?! I love a good Navy – and yours looks just right. I can’t wait to try this yarn!
Lapis is my choice.
I’m partial to Mallard
Seaglass for me, with Merlot a very close second…love the names as well as the colours!
Favorite color name: leek. Favorite color: mallard.
The color that really caught my eye is leek, although they are all beautiful!
At one time in my life everything I owned was blue so it has to be Mallard.
Merlot!
Lapis
My favorite color is lapis followed by about 21 others that are all great!
Skyline
WOW I love all the colors, that pale pink and green are calling my name! Thank you for all you do, though I do not order from your site, its a delight to read and look on your site for idea’s and new projects
Merlot is my favorite! The whole pallet is gorgeous!
Congratulations! I can’t wait to try Atlas. If I had to pick a favorite from photos alone it would be Seaglass.
Mallard
Love Mallard and Pear and Wintergreen, well all of them really!
Skyline and Whisper!
cedar
I love the color Lapis…because it reminds me that Spring skies are coming!
Whisper shouted out to me! But, all of the colors are luscious!!!
Mallard + Navy! They would make a great mosaic cowl!
All so beautiful. Seaglass is my pick but I love Clementines so that’s a distracting second choice. Thanks for this
It’s tough to pick just one, but Wintergreen jumps out to me. Thanks for making a climate beneficial wool.
All the colors — I can’t pick just one!
Merlot. I’m so predictable, I always go for the dark red.
I absolutely love the barn red. I am already imagining what I would do with that color. So beautiful and vibrant. My new favorite color.
Tutu
PEAR !!! I love, love, love Pear
So.Freakin’.Fabulous!!!
Congratulations on this new level ! Can’t wait to knit with it.
I’m going to say Pear blows me away as a color although Seaglass is the one I immediately want to knit a sweater with.
Maybe Seaglass with Pear colorwork….
Skyline is gorgeous- congratulations!
Seaglass (today, who knows what mood tomorrow will bring) 🙂
Clementine! In season, beautiful and delicious! And a sweet old song!
Wow, so many good ones and we only get to choose one…ok, it’s got to be CLEMENTINE. It looks like a happy, luscious color.
What beautiful yarn and I love the blanket! I like your idea of a zoom meeting project. I have been stymied at times by picking up a project to knit during a meeting only to discover I am at a point where I have to read the pattern carefully and do something tricky and then am stuck not being able to knit at all during the meeting. My favourite colour is the seaglass.
Darling Clementine
Nice blanket. Pretty colors would be a great travel knit and then blanket for the car too!
Shale…and all the others lol. Congratulations on the launch!
Navy is my favorite color. All the colors are great.
I cannot wait to see the Sea Glass color. It reminds me of the gulf Coast!
Red! The yarn looks wonderful!
Barn Red for me for the win!
Lapis, with sea glass a very close second!
Skyline for the win
Trying to expand the wheelhouse of colors I usually gravitate to, I’d pick Tutu. Also love the name.
I think cedar is my favorite but I would probably use more peat. They are all lovely but, for me, the best part is that you have already done the due diligence for me – sustainably sourced and made in the US so I do not have to worry about animal care, environmental impact, and worker conditions. Thank you for caring!
All the colors are a win! I love the saturation of merlot.
The Lapis is lovely
Mallard!
Citron! It’s been so grey here that I just crave some really bright color! But I love them all – Lapis is a close second!
Mallard!
Oh pear!
My favorite color is seaglass. But I always have trouble narrowing down favorite colors to one!
Wow, this is tough to pick just one, but I’m going to go with Wintergreen, because I have been wanting to find a green just like that!
I’m going to choose lapis, but I’m really missing a deep purple color!
Mallard is my favorite this morning but i see many that contend for the top spot and I am sure at any given moment might win the top spot! Nice job with the colors and the composition.
Whisper or tutu. How do you choose. They are all absolutely beautiful!!!
Mallard! It just popped right out at me and I said, OOOH I ant to knit with that!
My favorite color of Atlas: barn red; Clementine; wintergreen cedar; lapis; pear; citron;
