Announcing: Dog Daze!

Dear everybody,
It’s been a long time coming, and it’s finally here: our summer-long celebration of all things dog.
Dog Daze!
If you spend three minutes at MDK, you know that we have a ton of love for our dogs. And we know that all you dog lovers are out there, wanting only the best for your furry friend.
So. For some time now, we have dreamed of pulling together a collection of dog sweaters by designers we admire.
Today, that dream becomes a reality.
We are proud to present: MDK Poochbook.
Our lookbook of the finest in handknit garments for your favorite four-legged friend.

Click here to see our curated collection of brilliant dog sweaters, all shining in our Atlas yarn, as well as the new collaboration yarn, Atlas x Madelinetosh.
A Series of Virtual Classes This Summer
We’re thrilled to announce the first in our summer series of dogcentric virtual classes.
We welcome the absolute QUEEN of knitting for the dogs she loves, Dana Williams-Johnson.

Dana’s class, Doggie Designs, will cover everything you need to know about converting a human-sized yoke sweater design into a matching design for your dog.
Dana is one of the most prolific sweater knitters we have ever seen (28 in one year is her record), and her career as a professor means she is a superb teacher. And also completely hilarious.
You say you’ve never knit a sweater for your dog?
You think it seems sort of hard to make legs come out at the right place?
You’re wondering how this all works?
On Friday, July 25 at noon Eastern, Dana Williams-Johnson will explain it all to us. (Class recording will be emailed to all participants afterward, available indefinitely.)
Sign up here, and get ready for the virtual class that your dog will thank you for taking.

Come Visit Our Pup-Up Shop!
We’ve brought in a selection of chic and goofy dog things, absolute necessities for your pooch. See them all here. We’ve already blown through a lot of things, but please check back—and please know we’ll have them back in stock as soon as pawsible.
Fair warning: it’s going to be dogpuns til Labor Day.
Love,
Ann
How cute! Our little dogperson is no more (we still miss her!) but she has a kissin’ cousin who would look divine in the Madeline Tosh Caretaker colorway as she is so much of an Autumn. So I grabbed it before you were out of stock.
Hi Chloe! I love that you’re taking care with matching yarn to a dogperson’s complexion. So sweet!
Is there a field guide coming for dog sweaters?
Hi Bonnie! We made this digital Poochbook rather than a print Field Guide.
I love the doggie sweaters! But also, what is the gorgeous yellow sweater the human model is wearing?? Do you have a pattern for that?
That’s Jen Geigley’s design, the Main Squeeze Pullover. It’s available on Ravelry, and it’s such a great knit–I’m finishing one right now in our Atlas x Madelinetosh in Oeste, a fleckly natural color.
I would love classes offered outside the normal workday. It seems every one I want to sign up for is during the day on a weekday.
MDK always records the class and shares the link to it afterwards to everyone who registers. From the listing: “Location: Zoom—this is a virtual event, and it will be recorded for participants to watch and re-watch.”
Uh-oh. Kermt’s going to be sooooo jealous!
I’m scratching every member of the team—human and canine—behind the ears saying, “Whossagooboi? Whossagoogurl?” (But especially Rose.)
Knitting love and dog love? I have found my people
Ha! I call my meatheads, Pupperonis! Definitely getting those tags for them.
