Dear knitter,

Happy Saturday!

Anticipation is one of the great feelings. We’ve been watching for the arrival of the yarn bundles we’ve put together for the Floating Squares Wrap, the design by Amy Christoffers that is a highlight of Field Guide No. 29: Mosaic.

According to Ann, the Floating Squares Wrap is the prettiest thing she has ever made. (She’s not given to superlatives, except when she is.)

And now we can finally say: we’ve got MDK-exclusive bundles of the softest Lang Mohair Luxe for you, in three beautiful colorways.

We hope you clamber onto this bandwagon—it’s rare to knit a colorful cloud like this. (And remember, MDK Society members save 10%.)

Last Call for Knitting with Color!

Yesterday’s 90-minute illustrated talk by color adventurer Ann Weaver was both enlightening and elevating. We’re full of renewed curiosity—and confidence—about choosing and combining colors in our knitting projects.

If you missed the live session, here’s good news: you can still sign up this weekend, and we’ll send you the link to the recording in your order confirmation email.

Read more and sign up here. Heads up: we have to take this class listing down on Monday.

Meanwhile…

We had a big time on MDK this week.

Spring has sprung, and Dana Williams-Johnson has a little list of quick, cute tops to knit for when it’s warm outside.

Clara Parkes felt the call of the fleece.

Ann is lost in that cloud called the Floating Squares Wrap.

Two strands of yarn held together—one each for Claudia B. Manley and her mother.

When knitting wants to teach humility: it sure can do that.

Locate a breeze and a beverage, grab your knitting, and spend a delightful 60 minutes with the queen of Pressed Flowers, designer Amy Christoffers.

Your Support Is Everything—Thank You!

At MDK, making knitters happy is all we think about, every single day. If you love what we’re doing, it’s vital—and easy—to support MDK.

One great way, of course: join the MDK Society. And also, whenever you shop with MDK, sign up for a workshop, or share our content with others, you’re directly supporting the yarnmakers, artisans, teachers, and writers that we feature here. Thank you!

Trying to contact us? We’re working to fix a glitch in our Contact Us form. Please write us directly at hello@moderndailyknitting.com. Thank you for your patience!

Stay healthy, take care of each other, and knit on.

Love,

Ann and Kay

PS Please forward this Snippets to a knitter friend—we appreciate it so much!
