Dear all,

Lots of folks are jumping on our MDK Gems offer, starring the yarn that Carol herself designed, Nua Sport. It really is a gorgeous palette, have a peek. The offer is this: when you order any quantity of Nua Sport now through Wednesday, April 19, we’ll include a free copy of the ebook edition of the truly scrumptious Field Guide No. 14: Refresh. Four patterns! A $9.95 value!

What to Make with Nua Sport?

Here are some Carol Feller flashcards for the designs she created for Field Guide No. 14: Refresh.

Arcade Cap. Snack-sized intro to the cleverness of Carol and the joy of this yarn.

Trellis Top. A sleek and modern take on a vest. Open sides fasten with buttons. The whole thing is a masterwork of subtle texture.

Twining Wrap. You start with three stitches, and before you know it, you’re working all kinds of cool cables. Really great. If you love cables, this one’s for you.

Transom Cardigan. Superb, classic, a forever design with tons of cool details that are Carol Feller’s signature. The light weight of Nua Sport makes this sweater a good one for springtime.

The Kayest Kay Post of All Time

Finally, I’ll point you to what happened when Kay made the Trellis Top a while back. It’s the sort of tale that makes us all feel a little better . . .

Love,

Ann

  • Love Carol Feller designs..well written and charted……great customer service….always contacted me in a very timely fashion…the nua sport is a fun yarn to work….used it for a baby sweater (one of her patterns)
Top down cardigan ..MY favorite designer….can’t say enough about Carol and her team.

  • I have 2 emails with Zoom links and they each have a different time. Which is correct?

  • Carol is great, but reading Kay’s post again made me chuckle. We love you, Kay! I don’t swatch either, but I am one of those vexing people who knits very predictably to gauge while Kay is clearly a grab-and-go gal (Thanks for the terminology, Patty!).

I do tell newer knitters to not be like me, swatching is pretty critical. Then again, top down sweaters are good if you’re feeling reckless…

  • I’m not able to join the Zoom today, but I have to share with everyone how much I love, love, *LOVE*, did I say Love? Nua Sport. I am currently knitting Carol’s Tabouli cardigan with the Rolling Bales color (purchased from MDK) and it is such a luxurious experience to knit with this incredible yarn. And the pattern is amazing! Carol is a genius! I am loving it so much, that I’m already thinking about the next Carol Feller pattern I can make with Nua Sport. Perhaps it should be the Trellis vest top. I don’t usually gush, but this yarn and Carol’s designs bring it out!
