Dear Kay,

Hats off to Andrea and Andrew, the dynamic duo who wander the world in search of knitting, knitting designers, and yarnmakers. Did you know that they have just launched their 99th episode? There is at least two pandemics’ worth of bingeing possible over at Fruity Knitting, their YouTube channel.

We love their visit with Carol Feller, the designer whose patterns are the highlight of MDK Field Guide No. 14: Refresh. Grab a cup of tea, a loaf of soda bread, and settle in for a bit of knitting while you enjoy this episode of Fruity Knitting. That’s it, up top.

Her interview starts at 13:45.

Love,

Ann

  • I just started watching Fruity Knitting recently. I’m on Episode 18. They are wonderful and the knitting is exquisite. I love the different parts of the episode and how they introduce different knitters from different parts of the world. Lots to learn and enjoy. eleonora

  • Wow, thanks so much for showing this Fruity Knitting episode. I had not heard of them but I will watch and catch up on all the episodes now!! I’ve only watched the first 10 minutes of the one you featured and I’m already feeling inspired and I’ve learned something new which is amazing!! Can’t wait to see the rest!

  • Ann, Fruity knitting sounds like just the right tonic for me. I love LazySunday and Snippets. SO enjoy all that this long standing and educational blog offers us . Thank you both!

  • Have you stopped the “ archive” arrow/ flap? I have tried to save a couple times lately but there’s no button. Thanks.

    • I think you need to log in first & then it pops up.

  • I’ve been watching Andrew and Andrea (and their daughter Madeline and Jack the doodle) since the beginning. The energy is fabulous, their own knitting is flawless (Andrea is a stern task master to Apprentice Andrew!), and their guests are wonderful. And their Extreme Knitting videos are out of this world. I just wish they would have more BIPOC on; that is their only blindspot, but I’ve mentioned it, and they responded with a ‘quality’ issue, which was disappointing. I’ve lowered my monthly Patreon sponsorship to them, and continue the conversation.
