Neighborhood Fiber Co. Studio Sock
Spectacular! These are the first variegated colors we’ve brought in from Karida Collins. We can all make socks that let us carry her dazzling way with color wherever we go.
As often happens with hand-dyed yarns, skeins will vary in intensity and proportion of color. The variation is considerable with this particular yarn. We hope you will keep this in mind as you order this extraordinary yarn.
Please note: pattern not included. Sock patterns appear in MDK Field Guide No. 11: Wanderlust, available in both digital and print editions. Be sure to add a copy of Field Guide No. 11 to your cart at checkout!

Some sock yarns lend themselves to intricate stitch patterns.
That’s not the game here.
These colors from Neighborhood Fiber Company make exuberant socks the easiest thing in the world—knit a simple stockinette sock with these yarns, and you will soon have the best time watching the interplay of color that is Karida’s signature. These colors actually make us knit faster: we hurry up so we can see what happens when the next bit of color lands on our needles. It is all so fascinating.
When you try a skein of this yarn, you’ll see what we mean. We are knitting our way through all nine shades. We are pretty sure you’ll have the same experience. This 100% Superwash Merino is milled with 8 plies—4 sets of 2-ply yarn, which makes for a durable yarn without nylon.
A note about speckles: Each skein is individually dyed, so while these pictures are representative of the color, your skein will not look exactly like the pictures. Every skein is unique!
