Creative Linen

Both of us are linen lovers, but boy, did we fall hard for Rowan’s Creative Linen. We had long craved a linen-based yarn that would work well for both garments and home items, from sweaters to blankets to baby items. Creative Linen is it, a forever favorite.

If you’re wool-sensitive, or live in a warm climate, consider Creative Linen as a substitute yarn for Erika Knight’s designs in MDK Field Guide No. 20: Atlas. The gauge is right, and so is the vibe. Erika has chosen this yarn over and over for her designs—all the endorsement we needed to try it ourselves.

Creative Linen is a fantastic sweater yarn, combining the heft of cotton and the drape of linen.  Great stitch definition makes lace and texture patterns really pop, and a beautiful matte surface makes for fantastic cushions, blankets, and other knits for the home. Unsurprisingly, we are particularly fond of making washcloths and dishcloths out of this durable, modern yarn.
