These are so pretty. Amy Lee Serradell, a very clever dyer from Portland, Oregon, has the knack for making mini skeins that really sing together.

You have two colorway options here: Sunlight and Candlelight. The third option, of course, is both.

We can imagine these colorways used in the yoke of a sweater, in a vibrant cowl, as the makings of the most elegantly colored mittens ever. These 98-yard mini skeins total almost 700 yards of yarn, which is plenty for your most exotic color experiments.

These two sets of hand-dyed fingering weight are perfect for playing with Cecelia Campochiaro’s inventive Freak Flags pattern in MDK Field Guide No. 5: Sequences. What are freak flags, you ask? They’re a string of little pennants that you use to decorate your house, your dog, yourself. They are unfettered fun.

Stripes, of course, are an obvious place to start. We don’t want to tell you what to do. But, you know, stripes are kind of great. Or Fair Isle. Or log cabin.

Ann knit up one of each set into a luminous version of Melanie Berg’s True Colors.

Take a peek at our yarns and patterns—you're likely to find something you love.
