Blue Sky Fibers Hand Dyes

By Blue Sky Fibers
Please note that sales are final on all discounted items.

Pure pleasure in yarn form. Equal parts royal alpaca and merino wool, Blue Sky Fibers Hand Dyes is unabashedly luxurious. It feels great, in an aran weight that makes for fast knitting.

At the moment, we’re loving it especially for Amy Christoffers’s Cockleshell Cardigan from Modern Daily Knitting Field Guide No. 6: Transparency. It’s a baby sweater that takes only a few evenings of knitting to make. This is how you win at a baby shower. Not that it’s a contest. Or anything. Sizes 0-6 months and 6-12 months use two skeins; sizes 12-18 months and 18-24 months will need three skeins.

For any project where stitch definition and a smooth, rich fabric are desired, this is your yarn. We love it for any accessory. As with all special yarns, hand washing is necessary here.

Blue Sky Fibers makes yarns of the highest order. Founded by Linda Niemeyer, with a herd of beloved alpacas, Blue Sky has grown to offer a full range of yarns that reflect Linda’s love of natural fibers and organic materials.

Their yarns are carefully sourced, thoughtfully designed, and tend to come in exquisite palettes that make it hard to decide what color to choose. Carrying this beautiful alpaca/merino yarn is something we’re so happy to do. We think you’ll love it, too.

The MDK Shop is stocked with yarns you’ll love.
