We are frankly a little sorry to be doing this to you. This dreamy yarn is the knitting equivalent of Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Almonds. For the Après-Anything Socks, we searched high and low for the yarn that would make these socks wholly impractical for daily life. In 50% Royal Alpaca/50% merino wool, these quick-knit socks are destined to be your favorite nonverbal way to say, “I’m relaxing now, people.”

About the designer

Unlike Betty Crocker, Ann Budd is a real person. But her name is equally legendary to knitters, thanks to her classic Knitter’s Handy Book series, which make it easy for knitters to design garments to their own specifications. Ann is particularly known for her mastery of sock knitting and design, and teaches sold-out workshops across the country and abroad. Ann lives in Boulder, Colorado. You can find her at annbuddknits.com.
