  • Surprisingly, I and both my culinarily inclined son and the one who isn’t interested in learning how to make toast are all into binge watching Master Chef. The elaborate competitions they dream up and the conflict conflict conflict of reality TV are hysterical. We all now speak with Gordon Ramsey’s accent, and when I tell them “Chef, I have for you pasta a la fromage (macaroni and cheese) with haricots verts (green beans) they say “And how are you going to elevate that dish?”
I had to laugh at the too-small couch, since that’s my place, too.

  • I can appreciate the sacrifice made to connect with teenage son. I get it. It’s what we do.
