Yarns to Love
A Gem in Our Sale

Dear friends,
We hope you’re finding some ease during this holiday moment. As for us, some of the MDK team have hit the road, some have hunkered down, and pretty much everybody is knitting something. Hannah, of course, stalwartly resists the needle arts.
“I’m an artist,” she says. “I have a greenhouse,” she says. Sure, sure. We’ll get you yet.
We’ve been watching how our End-of-Year Sale is been going, and it’s fun to see what people discover.
Smart shoppers have excavated a juicy nugget: for the first time, Atlas x Madelinetosh is 10% off.
Hand-dyed Atlas is our most special, superspecial yarn. We’ll run out, and that will be that. One thing about this yarn: the hand dyers at Madelinetosh typically work with superwash bases, so it’s cool to see how their colorways work on a wool base that isn’t treated to be machine washable. The colors are vibrant but somehow gentle.
You can see all 24 colors right here, tonals and variegateds and speckles.
We put together a lookbook for projects that really sing with this collaboration yarn. Have a look now, and you’ll see what we’re talking about. We hope you’ll take a break and spend time with our Atlas x Madelinetosh lookbook.
I Just Inspired ME!
Looking at all this yarn, I got all wound up again about a sweater I’m making. For the past five months, I’ve been about 45 minutes from a completed Main Squeeze Pullover, Jen Geigley’s design. It has lived one foot from my right elbow, on my desk, heartbreakingly close to done yet profoundly undone.
I look at it all the time.
I am besotted with this color, called Oeste. Most days I’m not even a speckle person, but this has been one of the most hypnotizing yarns I’ve ever used.
If I do this right, I’ll start the year with a new sweater. And with that sort of momentum, it may be a year of new sweaters for me. Please stay tuned for our announcement of a sweater thing that we are cooking up that has us all very excited.
Love,
Ann

I love this colorway. I’m about 10 rows to the arm join on my main squeeze. Then need to focus on the instructions a bit. Hoping it is ready for NYF!
Intrigued by the sweater comment. Are we due for “The Perfect Sweater 2.0”?
Happy new year to all.
I want to buy some stuff in Pakistani currency plz guide m.
I forgot how cool this sweater is, and in this colorway…gahhhhhh.
I just love that pattern. The yarn is perfect and the design looks like it’s thermal. I’m sure it will be warm.
I would like this pattern and thread how do I get it

Hi Maria and Sandra! Jen Geigley’s Main Squeeze Pullover is available on Ravelry as a digital download. (New Zealand? No problem!) https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/main-squeeze-pullover

I have spent the last hour trying to purchase a number of items but the system refuses to allow me to enter my card number ?
Has anyone else experienced this glitch in the system ?
Start the new year in speckled glory, Ann!
Love that colorway you chose Ann, will be beautiful on you.
I’m just looking at the Look Book and I’m wondering if the color Central Park West would have been a trademark violation if the colors had been that of the ubiquitous Benneton Scarf: tan, black, red, white? You know the one I mean.
The colors and projects are so good. I missed this the first time around–thanks for showing it again!
Absoulutely LOVE the sweater….can’t wait!!
Earlier this year, I was gifted some stunning yarn (that I helped pick out) to make a top. It’s a Jen Parroccini (One Wild Designs) top – the Classic LBD. I love that there is a v-neck option! This will be my second fitted thing – I’ve only made one sweater before!- and Jen does ALL the measurements because she loves helping you make a garment that fits. I am both excited about this and a bit terrified! My Christmas present to me was actually putting the yarn and pattern in a bag and working my way through the measurements so I can swatch and cast on. I keep telling myself it’s only yarn! And I can tink! Plus, I’m going to love wearing this thing when I’m done! The pattern and the yarn are both gorgeous!
