Knitalong Begins Next Wednesday, February 1
To kick off this Field Guide, we’re all going to knit the Setesdal Hat during February.
We’ve got a yarn bundle, right here, that will set you up for glory: five colors of Rowan Norwegian Wool, enough to make several Setesdal Hats if you try different color combinations. (We are fans of a two-color version, just sayin.)
Starting February 1, Arne & Carlos will be talking about the knitalong, with tips and hacks, every Wednesday during their Sit and Knit for a Bit podcast on YouTube. (Subscribe now if you haven’t seen this podcast—it’s hugely popular.)

Can you tell me of the yarn used is more on the prickly sticky side or the smoother side?
Can we know in advance the amount of wool we would need to order to knit the pullover? Will it be made available in a bundle? ❤️

I love the hat but I’m obsessed with the mittens. Can I do the mittens for the KAL?
I will be making the mittens too – the day I received my Field Guide, a friend mentioned how she was in need of mittens. That’s too serendipitous to ignore! I’m not speaking for MDK, but in past Field Guide KALs, they have not excluded people knitting other patterns.
