Dear friends,

With high hopes for everyone’s gift-knitting success, we send you our best wishes for joyful holidays. We hope this bingo card helps you come up with creative solutions if everything didn’t go exactly as planned.

Team MDK is heading out for a week of rest and relaxation after the busiest days of 2021. Our daily content will continue, of course. You may want to check in on the 26th in particular!

Shipments and customer service email responses will be on pause while we are away, and will resume when we return on January 3, bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Stay safe, stay close, and knit on, through all variants, with hope and confidence.

Love,

Ann and Kay and everyone at MDK

P.S. BINGO! If you’d like to download your very own Last Minute Holiday Knitting Bingo Card, here you go.

  • And Happy Holidays to all of you too! Big thank you to all the staff and contributors for helping to keep me functioning this year (it’s an uphill battle, I know). And here’s to a great 2022!!

    • SB won’t take marl either!

      • Keep sending into the NYTimes the knitting and craft words the Spelling Bee doesn’t recognize. I do, with definitions!!

        • Oh, that’s a great idea! I often put in words that I know are words and it doesn’t take them, yet it takes some of the weirdest collections of letters that don’t mean anything to me sometimes.

    • And my Festivus airing of the grievances – how come Spelling Bee won’t take lopi?

      • Sam is just wrong re both lopi and marl!

      • Because the editor of the Bee, Sam Ezersky, is a 20-something year old guy who clearly doesn’t knit. Perhaps we should send Patty Lyons to educate him just like she did with Seth Meyer…

        • Who’s SETH Meyer? Patty Lyons gave me the #1 tip of all time, at Camp Stitches ASilomar a few years go. I’d go there again for her and the butterflies (and of course the ocean)!

      • Was wondering the same thing!

  • Have a great holiday as a fairly new knitted I have throughly enjoyed the blog posts and my Saturday Snippets for inspiration and learning

  • Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you. You made our time pass with knowledge and new techniques. We’ll hope to meet up someday. ❤️

  • Merry, merry and huzzah for closing shop until 1/3!

  • Happy Holidays to y’all at MDK! Thank you for getting me through another year;)
Hanna, your bingo card drawings are fabulous! You should make stickers again like you sent out last year with orders, hint hint!

  • Dear Team Atlas, You make every day holiday for us all! I couldn’t be happier that you are taking a holiday for yourselves. May you be cozy, may you be safe, may you be healthy, and may you be as happy as you have made me this year. If you’re celebrating any of the holidays, I hope your celebrations are filled with love and that you have a bright and shiny 2022. xo

    • What Karen said! And happiest of times to you, Karen! You are a delight!
Dawn (proud Blanket Team 2 alumna)

    • Karen, you said it perfectly. Happy holidays to you too!

    • You said everything! May I “ditto?!”

  • I scored four on Hannah’s brilliant bingo card – Oops!
It’s now ticked over to Christmas day here in Tasmania, and I’ve just finished weaving in a few ends and sewed on the one required button, with the boucle pulled from the tangle, on the slightly damp summer cardie for my sister’s Christmas present.
Happy and healthy new year to all.

    • So funny, Tasmanian Knitter Friend. Merry Christmas! Happy New Year.

  • Merriest of days to the MDK folks!
Enjoy your break from work and enjoy your holiday!

  • You folks and what you do/create is magical. It engages me and makes ideas twinkle in my head just about every day. I am happy to be part of this tribe you have attracted.
Best of the season! Bring on the eggnog

  • Happy Holidays to everyone! Thank you for making my year a little brighter and more fun. I hope yours was too.

  • Happy Holidays to you & yours! Thank you for brightening each day with your collective wit, wisdom & humor. Here’s to a safe, happy & healthy new year.

  • Many, many thanks to DG Strong and his Atlas team of shippers. Everything I ordered arrived at lightning speed! Thank you for record shipping! MDK, please keep up the humor in 2022! You keep me in stitches! Happy Holidays and New Year!

  • Ditto

  • Happy Holidays to all of you and your loved ones! Enjoy your well-earned break and thanks for a terrific 2021!:)

  • I don’t see it’s Christmas Eve, and everyone woke up sick… Ugh…

  • To all who help keep MDK wild, weird, and wooly: May you have a happy and safe holiday season, no matter which holidays you celebrate! (PS: You’re going to need lots of energy drinks to be as bright eyed and bushy tailed as Olive and Kermit…)

  • Each morning I look forward to your email. This year I learned the benefits of having multiple projects going so I can pick up the one that suit at that time. In addition to this years FGs I ordered two older ones and really enjoy being able to read back through posts about the Calligraphy Cardigan from FG 9 while trading off with my Spectra sweater, to name a few. I’m looking forward to the 22 field guides and all the inspirations and learning you will be offering us this coming year.

  • Happy Holidays. Thank You for all you do! You have helped keep us all sane during this crazy pandemic and I know that although it was fun it was also hard work. Here’s hoping for a great New Year.

  • We just watched TGBBS this morning. Happy holidays all!

  • Thank you, Hannah Jones, for the perfect bingo card, and thank you, everyone at MDK, for your good work and good cheer. May your days be merry and bright!

  • Happy Holidays to all of you folks at MDK. Thank you for a wonderful year of helpful tips and humor! I appreciate each of you so much.

  • Thanks to all of you at MDK for giving us daily enjoyment the whole year through. Happy holidays to all of you!

  • Thank you for all the fun and inspiration. Trying to explain the importance of MDK to a non knitter is impossible. The mix of great projects, hilarity, uplifting stories, and random great things is one-of-a-kind, and makes being a knitter so much fun!

  • The best of the season to each of you. Thank you for the pleasure you provide all year long. And good on you for giving your staff time off!

  • Happy holidays to everyone at MDK! Thanks for knitting with us through it all.

  • All of you at MDK create one of my virtual happy places. Thank you for all your hard work throughout the year. And although you would not know me if you met me on the street, I feel like you are part of my fun, crazy, creative circle of friends. That’s because you are so authentic. Hoping you all get a good holiday rest!

  • HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! Thank you for all you do to brighten my mornings.

  • Happy holidays to one and all with a most enthusiastic hat tip for getting my recent order shipped with lightning speed. I was able to finish my last knitted gift yesterday, and it should be dry in time for gifting tomorrow. I’ll even have time to wrap it!

  • Happy Holidays to everyone! Thank you so much for being there every morning with fabulous recommendations…knitting and otherwise, useful tips, and entertaining tales. Looking forward to sharing 2022 with you [all].

  • Happy Holidays to all of you at MDK. You have made my spirit bright every morning this year. Thank you!

  • May there be booze in your coffee (or whatever your favourite beverage indulgence is) and quiet time to knit selfishly this holiday season!

  • Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all at MDK and to the readers of MDK. I always learn so much from, and get so many laughs and encouragement from, the articles and the comments here. The bingo card – hilarious – I thought I was the only one who stayed up until 3 am and I still need to go kitchener some sock toes! Best wishes for a great 2022!

  • Ann and Kay, wishing you and your wonderful staff happy holidays and a beautiful new year ahead!

I somehow found MDK in ’06 or ’07, and have felt so grateful that I did. MDK has opened up the world of knitting (and the world in general) for me to fly and learn many new things, while also keeping a place to return and reconnect. To think that it all began with that love of knitting that lived in each of your hearts. It has lead you on a journey that has included all of us, and still is growing. I am a firm believer that a heart that is full, expands to let in more of the good stuff. That, too, is how MDK runs. From the heart. Thank you. ❤

  • Love the graphics on the bingo card, spot on!!

  • Thank you MDK Team! You rock!
    Happy Holidays to all!

  • Aww, the bingo card hit all the right buttons! Now I have to go look up nålbinding…..

    • Now I know I will never do nålebinding…..

      Happy Holidays to all y’all!!!
