You may not think you know a knitter who’s closing in on her 200th finished sweater, but if you follow Dana Williams-Johnson, you do!

Each month, sweater knitters (and armchair sweater knitters, munching popcorn—we see you) look forward to a new installment of Dana’s Edit, in which she shares the patterns she’s got her eye on, and updates us on the ones she’s finished up since the last time. There needs to be a specific emoji for the expression a knitter gets when gawping at Dana Williams-Johnson’s speed and skill.

It’s awe-inspiring. Dana is a beacon of knitting joy, all the more delightful and surprising because she lives in the decidedly non-Arctic climate of Maryland, USA.  She is living proof that no matter where you live, you need a lot of cardigans in your life.

Warning: you will find yourself queueing sweaters, for both yourself and any cute animals in your life.

Catch up with Dana’s Edit, and you’ll smile all day long.

  • Dana is truly an inspiration to me. Because of her “can do attitude” I’m almost finished my third sweater this year. Weekender, Quinn, and So Faded will be ready when cool weather comes. Thanks for your big smile and cute little Jellybean..who always makes me smile!

  • All I can say is Wow!! This lady is a champ, no doubt about it. I haven’t even started a sweater yet, but I just finished my fifth pair of socks.

  • Oh, I feel like such a Dana-obsessed knitter. Every sweater she knits and shares with us is gorgeous and an inspiration for the rest of us to get those yarns out of those bins and pull out those needles and get colorful.

  • You a correct. I DO find myself queueing sweaters!

  • Dana’s sweaters and color choices are so beautiful! I just love Dana’s smile, which is infectious and shows her love of knitting! Just looking at the photos of Dana modeling her wonderful sweaters makes me happy. I would like to start one of her sweaters, but already have too many projects on my needles and in my stash! For now, I will have to be content with following Dana and bookmarking sweater patterns to make in the future.

  • I’m in awe! Where do you store them all?
